Small business owners and enterprise organisations alike are continually on the lookout for new ways to save money and maximise their resources. Thanks to evolving paperless technologies, we are now able to achieve greater, more scalable efficiencies that range far beyond the ambition of being a ‘green’ company, as desirable as that is.

DocuSign was founded on the paperless principal, so we are in a healthier position than most to align ourselves with this philosophy. But thanks to PCs, tablets and smartphones, the paperless vision is becoming more of a reality for everyone. Below I’ve outlined six particularly useful apps to help you on your paperless quest. With them, you can create, store and share critical documents – all in the care of the cloud.

Evernote

Expensify

Category: Finance/Productivity
Available on: Android, Blackberry, iOS, Windows

Expense reporting is one of the most dreaded times of the week/month. While traditionally you’d be forced to attach receipts to a sheet of paper and fill out a printed form, Expensify endeavors to make this task more convenient. The app scans your photo of the receipt and excerpts the main elements so you can add it to an expense report. Aspects such as the date, venue name and total spend can be identified as well as timed expenses, mileage, and trips.
