DocuSign Agreement Cloud innovations: winter release 2020

DocuSign Agreement Cloud winter release 2020

We recently wrapped up a great week at Dreamforce ’19, where we were proud to be an Innovator Sponsor. We were also excited to bring the DocuSign Agreement Cloud for Salesforce to life, including two new products in the DocuSign Winter ’20 Release: DocuSign CLM and DocuSign Negotiate. These innovations make it easier than ever for customers to prepare, sign, act-on, and manage agreements.

Here’s DocuSign’s Chief Product Officer Ron Hirson to tell us more:

Let’s jump into our latest product updates to find out more.

DocuSign CLM

DocuSign CLM is an evolution of our acquisition of SpringCM last year. DocuSign CLM can digitise your entire agreement lifecycle by automating a contract’s creation, negotiation, execution and storage. According to DocuSign’s State of Contract Management survey, a third of companies are still using Excel to manage agreements. Relying on manual and disconnected processes can waste time and money. What's more, manual processes can also hinder employee and customer satisfaction.

The beauty of DocuSign CLM is that it allows users to automate even the most complex agreement processes. It will enable users to generate contracts with pre-approved language seamlessly, and it creates a central repository that makes it easy to locate contracts. You can search using tags, date signed and contract type.

DocuSign CLM includes:

  • A flexible workflow engine that allows users to automate even the most complex agreement processes, reducing the number of manual handoffs and errors.
  • A single place to store and search all your contracts. You can even apply workflow to stored contracts' metadata, such as for renewal reminders.
  • Automated document generation from data in other systems such as CRM. Compared to manually creating agreements by cutting and pasting data from other systems, automated document generation saves time and eliminates errors.
  • Automated support for negotiation tasks such as reviews, approvals, change detection, redlining, and version tracking.

All this comes with category-leading security and compliance, including SOC 2, HIPPA and FedRAMP authorisation.

DocuSign Negotiate

Small and medium-sized businesses also need to automate agreement processes and can experience similar challenges with manually preparing and negotiate agreements. Requirements can change based on the size and complexity of each organisation. DocuSign Negotiate has been designed with small and medium-sized businesses in mind. It pulls Salesforce customer, product and pricing data into contracts. It can help small and medium companies to automate the generation, negotiation, and approval of sales agreements.

DocuSign Negotiate reduces the risks of errors for sales reps and also saves time. It can help give your sales team extra time to focus on growing your business. DocuSign Negotiate is included as a pre-integration with Salesforce Sales Cloud and DocuSign eSignature (Sold separately). It’s straightforward to set up and run. DocuSign Negotiate helps organisations to do business faster and accelerate sales processes.

Collect payments at the time of signature

With DocuSign eSignature for Salesforce CPQ and Billing with Payments, you can collect payments at the time of signature. This update will help you to deliver a seamless and convenient payment experience for your customers. It can also help to reduce administration costs, payment delays and decreases the risks of manual billing. You can collect payments from quotes during the signature process, and store payment methods in Salesforce Billing.

Stay tuned for upcoming releases, and we hope you enjoy the new products in the Winter ‘20 release. Find out more about DocuSign CLM, DocuSign Negotiate and DocuSign eSignature.
