That’s a wrap! Our first ever developer conference is officially in the books and what a tremendous two days it was. Held in San Francisco in conjunction with DocuSign MOMENTUM, DocuSign DevCon 2015 was an interactive event full of keynotes, technical working sessions, networking, hands-on demos with sponsors, a bit of news and a lot of fun.

Geoffrey Moore, noted author, speaker and a personal hero of mine, kicked things off with an excellent keynote that explored his vision for disruptive technologies. My two biggest takeaways from his talk? The market DocuSign is addressing along with our global ecosystem of developers is estimated to be a $1 trillion opportunity. That’s massive. Secondly, we’ve got to be forward-thinking in everything we do because the future of business is not going to be about technology, but about human to human transactions that are enabled by technology.

All told, we delivered 14 technical sessions and got solid reviews from those who attended. We also announced the winners of our first annual Paperless Partner Awards, honoring the most creative developers that have taken significant steps toward ridding the world of paper. Winners included:

Our Developer Lounge was the place to be throughout the event (see the image gallery below). In addition to ping pong and foosball tables, bean bag chairs and a money booth, the lounge included demo booths hosted by several of our partners. Salesforce gave demos of its Salesforce1 Lightning platform, Twilio was on hand to show off its platform for voice and SMS applications and RunScope offered live demos of its tools for API monitoring, logging, measuring and sharing.

I’m already looking forward to the second installment of DocuSign DevCon and in the meantime, can’t wait to see all the new business apps that our ecosystem creates!
