The social enterprise is NOW! On Thursday, March 15th, 2012, DocuSign participated in salesforce.com’s Cloudforce + Cloudstock and joined more than 17,000 cloud enterprise customers, prospects, and partners. Salesforce.com’s Marc Benioff took the stage with a handful of key customers, including Coke, Activision, HP, Burberry, and others. He highlighted how these and other leading companies are taking advantage of social CRM to accelerate and connect with customers.
DocuSign was a sponsoring partner of the event. Without question, the opportunity to connect and meet with so many of our successful customers and developers was fantastic! DocuSign participated in both the Cloudforce partner expo and the Cloudstock developer conference. It was extremely exciting to see in person how electronic signatures are helping companies accelerate the speed of their businesses and transactions to dramatic results.
One of the day’s best sessions was held in the developer expo as part of DocuSign’s REST API best practices presentation. As DocuSign builds out our new REST API, some of the most recognizable brands across industries met before Cloudstock in a developer summit on best practices. Later on DocuSign’s own Mike Borozdin shared these best practices with the broader community. He led a great developer-focused panel with development thought leaders from Facebook, salesforce.com, Mashery, and Appirio/CloudSpokes. Developers took notes feverishly as the group discussed strategy and details on how to standardize and write code so that developers can easily adopt and build on the platform.
In addition to the fantastic developer involvement, DocuSign was a part of several breakout sessions talking about how the global standard for electronic signature can be leveraged in all aspects within the social enterprise. Ken Cavallon, Doug Gibson, and Dan Reid all spoke about how salesforce.com customers can close more sales with DocuSign for Salesforce.
