Making an environmental impact with Trees for Cities in the UK and Ireland

Trees for Cities is the only UK charity working at a national and international scale to improve lives by planting trees in cities. We are partnering with the aim to enhance tree cover and restore urban green spaces in the UK and Ireland. This is part of our ambitious DocuSign for Forests initiative.

Since 2003, we’ve helped hundreds of millions of people around the world to replace over 20 billion sheets of paper with digital processes that do not require paper. Our commitment to protect the environment led to the creation of DocuSign for Forests in 2019. DocuSign for Forests is our way of helping protect and preserve the world’s forests by supporting organisations like Rainforest Trust,  The Wilderness Society and the Forest Stewardship Council.

By supporting Trees for Cities' tree planting projects in the urban environment, we are attempting to take this commitment one step further by playing a part in the effort to create greener and more resilient towns and cities.

Our projects with Trees for Cities

Trees for Cities have been planting trees and revitalising green spaces in towns and cities across the UK for over 26 years. Throughout 2019 and 2020, DocuSign staff dedicated their time to help on a number of Trees for Cities projects.

We’re proudly playing a role in the effort to increase London's canopy cover by 10% by 2050 by funding tree planting. On top of that, DocuSign staff are dedicating their time and getting stuck-in to a number of Trees for Cities projects.

  • London: Ealing - In September 2019, DocuSign staff helped to carry out essential maintenance on previously planted trees, ensuring their survival and long-term health.
  • London: Redbridge - DocuSign joined forces with partner Salesforce in December, planting 240 saplings.
  • London: Barking and Dagenham - On 19th February 2020, a team of 30 staff from DocuSign and Unilever planted 800 trees.
  • Dublin - In February 2020, Staff from DocuSign Dublin office helped to plant a whopping 600 trees.
