DocuSign Awarded Life Insurance Direct Marketing Association (LIDMA) Seal of Approval
SEATTLE – November 18, 2010—DocuSign® (www.docusign.com), the global leader in electronic signatures, today announced that it has received the prestigious Seal of Approval from the Life Insurance Direct Marketing Association (LIDMA). The presentation took place recently at the seventh annual Fall Meeting and Showcase held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Seattle.
The LIDMA Seal of Approval was awarded to DocuSign in recognition of its adoption and active use of the LIDMA eProcess, which lowers costs and processing time associated with the writing of new life insurance policies for customers.
"DocuSign has been an industry leader in adopting and utilizing key aspects of the LIDMA eProcess," said Pat Wedeking, president of LIDMA. "DocuSign's efforts have been key in driving the integration of the LIDMA eProcess throughout the industry by serving as an early adopter and setting a standard for others to follow."
Developed by a large contingent of LIDMA members including carriers, technology vendors, industry attorneys and front-line producers, the LIDMA eProcess utilizes newly developed technologies such as e-signature, enhanced "part 2" data collection and e-delivery to substantially reduce the time it takes for a new policy purchases to be initiated by the consumer and delivered by the carrier. The LIDMA eProcess results in lowered costs for insurance providers and new policy holders.
"The LIDMA eSignature Seal of Approval provides distributors, vendors and carriers with the peace of mind they need to select a trusted electronic signature platform to dramatically impact the efficiency of their business" said Steve Woodworth, market director at DocuSign. "With 9 of the top 16 life insurance carriers already accepting DocuSign and many of the major paramed vendors taking advantage of DocuSign in their Part 2 business, the LIDMA eProcess and DocuSign's electronic signature platform provide a powerful combination of best practices with real world results."
